| The date September 4, 1781 was inserted in the advertising space on the back of a bus stop bench and in turn into the streetscape of Los Angeles. The curious passerby who looked up the website address printed there discovered that the date marks the founding of the city Los Angeles, which took place near the site. The website also relays the indigenous, African, and Spanish families who were contracted by Spain to establish the community that later became Los Angeles. |
